BOTANICAL DESCRIPTION:
Saptachakra is a big climbing shrub or small tree growing wildly throughout India. The flowers are pale yellow in color. The fresh root exhibit different colors; hence the Hindi name Saptarangi. Leaves are elliptic, narrowly ovate-round or obovate-elliptic 4.2-10.5 cm long and 2.2-4.0 cm wide, and glabrous; the petioles are 5–8 mm long. The fruit has one seed in it, the seed is only 8 mm long. Flowers have five petals and they are yellow or yellowish-green.

THERAPEUTIC USES-
- The powder of root is given in dose of 4-5 gms in Dysmenorrhea.
- The Powder is helpful in Diabetes also in dose of 04-05 gms.
- The root paste is applied over external pile mass.
- The decoction is given as uterine stimulant in dose of 25-30 ml daily.
- Local ap plication of paste to get relieve from swelling & pain.
INDICATIONS:
Atiswedana excessive sweating, Madhumeha diabetes, Kashtartava dysmenorrhea, Shoth relieve swelling, ruja pain.
