HABITAT: Found chiefly in the tropical and sub tropical regions. Mainly found in outer Himalayas.
BOTANICAL DESCRIPTION:
Habit- Small or medium sized tree monoecious in nature. Leaves are alternate and simple,more or less leathery ,ovate to lanceolate, cuneate to rounded with two glands at base. Flowers are male flower are Terminal or axillary position and female flower- Spikes or slender racemes
Fruits are depressed globes. Seeds are Subglobose and black in colour.

THERAPEUTIC USES:
- Retention of urine: Cold infusion of bark is given in a dose of 40-50ml.
- Skin disease: Decoction of the bark is given in a dose of 30ml to treat skin disease.
- Fetus retain in pregnancy: Decoction of the fruit hair is giving in a dose of 30-40ml.
- Eczema: Hair of fruit of kampillaka is mixed with sesame oil and applied over the skin affected with eczema.
- Intestinal worm: Fruit gland mixed with hot water and consuming.

Adhmana flatulens, Gulma clump, Krimiroga worm infection, Vibandha constipation, Vrana wound healing
