HABITAT:

Plant occur in North Africa, Afganistan, Pakistan, India. In India it mainly occur in Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat and upper gangetic plains

BOTANICAL DESCRIPTION:

It is an Annual herb. Stem is 1-2 meters in height. Leaves resembles senna leaves. Flowers are violet coloured and small. It has long spreading roots which extend to several yards and send up shoots as they go. Flowering and fruiting time is between February to June

  • Decoction consumed in 20-30 ml daily acts as a blood purifier.
  • The Cold Infusion is given in dosage 40-50 ml dosage to treat Asthma & Cough.
  • The paste prepared from leaf and rhizome of rsasna edema & pain.
  • The decoction prepared from rhizome of Pluchea lanceolata is given per orally in case of Indigestion, Abdominal pain & Fever due to Indigestion.
  • Same decoction also acts in plant poisioning.
