HABITAT: Common in Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Assam and in Upper gangetic plains.
BOTANICAL DESCRIPTION: A diffuse hairy perennial herb with a woody root stock; branches slender, terete, prostate or suberect, sparsely fulvous pilose. Leaves are shortly petiole, linear, oblanceolate, up to 1.25 inch long, the upper one smaller, linear oblong, hairy on both sides. Flowers solitary or in pairs, sessile or nearly so in the leaf axils, bract linear. Calyx thin, hairy, sepals subequal, lanceolate to ovate, tips acuminate. Corolla pale rose, shortly funnel shaped ¼ to 1/3 inch long. Capsule globose less than 1/6 inch in diameter. Flowering time: flowers starts in first week of august and fruit appears in last week of august.
