HABITAT: shrub growing along the river on plain of India resembling Sugar cane.

It is in the greater part of North West India.

BOTANICAL DESCRIPTION: It is a tall handsome grass, 8 to 12 feet high, about 12-18 ft in height, upper leaves long, 5- 7ft in length. Flowers are pinkish, voilet spikelets lanceolate.
