Description

NAME OF MEDICINE  :- LASHUNADI VATI

CLASSICAL REFERENCE  :- Rasendrasarasangraha-Ajirnarogadhikara.

FORMULATION COMPOSITION  :-

Each tablet of 500 mg. contains

Lahshun (Allium sativum), Jirak (Cuminum cyminum), Saindhav lavan (Rock salt), Shudh gandhak (Purified sulpher), Shunthi (Zingiber officinalis), Pippali (Piper longum), Marich (Piper nigrum), Shudh hing (Purified ferula foetida)-62.50 mg. (each of the above ingredients).

Bhavanarth dravya—Freshly prepared Nimbu swarasa (Lemon juice)—Q.S. for mardana.

DOSE  :-

1 to 2 tablets or as directed by the physician.

THERAPEUTIC USE  :

Useful in various types of abdominal disorders, like abdominal pain, flatulence, dyspepsia, anorexia, digestive impairment, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, & dysentery etc.

ANUPAN  :-

To be taken twice in a day with water or as directed by the physician.

METHOD OF PREPARATION

1. Calculate the quantity of the drugs mentioned under LASHUNADI VATI in AFI-I (12:27) and as per master formulary record of the pharmacy for the required batch and quantity.
2. Accurately weigh the tested drugs from the raw material store ,clean them and then pass through 20 and 30 mesh to discard foreign materials.Now again weigh the drugs and adjust their weight loss according to master formula.
3. Clean the Pulveriser as per SCP (Standard Cleaning Procedure).
4. Coarsely powder the drugs of the above mentioned Yog.
5. Coarsely powdered drugs are then shifted in the mixture machine and freshly prepared lahsun kalka and nimbu svarasa are also added in the mixture machine and grounded well.
6. When the homogenous mixture of the above ingredients is made then taken out of the mixing machine and varties are prepared for handmade pills.
7. Take a sample for testing and after testing the batch, the tablets are released for packing.
8. Seal and label the tablets in well cleaned plastic bottles as per GMP mentioned in D & C Act 1940 and the rules made there under.
