NAME OF MEDICINE :-Ashwagandhadi Churna

CLASSICAL REFRENCE :- Sarangadharasamhita-Vajikarana, rasayanaprakarna.

FORMULATION COMPOSITION :-

Each 5 gms. contains:

Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera)-25%, Vidhara mool (Argyreia speciosa)-25%, Sugar-50%.

DOSE :-

3 gms. to 6 gms. or as directed by the physician

THERAPEUTIC USE :–

A geriatric tonic, increases stamina, vigour and vitality. Also useful in spermatorrhoea, Nocturnal emission & strengthens genito urinary system.

ANUPAN :-

To be taken with water or milk or as directed by the physician.

METHOD OF PREPARATION

1. Calculate the quantity of the drugs mentioned under the ASHWAGANDHADI CHURNA as recorded in the master formulary record for the required batch & quantity.
2. Accurately weigh the tested drugs from the raw material store and clean them properly to exclude physical impurities/foreign materials.Again weigh the drugs and adjust their weight loss according to the master formula.
3. Clean the pulveriser as per SCP (Standard Cleansing Procedure).
4. Coarsely powder the drugs mentioned in the Yog and sieve them from the Sieve No.100.
5. Take a sample for testing and after testing the batch, the churn is sealed and labeled in well cleaned plastic bottles as per GMP mentioned in D & C Act 1940 and the rules made there under.
