CLASSICAL REFRENCE :-PATENT AYURVEDIC  MEDICINE

FORMULATION COMPOSITION :-

Each 5gms contains:

Hing (Ferula asafoetida)-3.57%, Ajwain (Trachyspermum  ammi)-3.57%, Jeerak (Cuminum cyminum)-7.14%, Trikatu (Trikatu)-14.28%, Sandhav lavan (Rock salt)-14.28%, Jangi harad (Terminalia chebula)-28.56%, Madhur kshar (Sodium bicarbonate)-28.56%.

DOSE :-

3 to 5 gms. or as directed by the physician.

THERAPEUTIC USE :

Carminative and digestive. Useful in hyperacidity, dyspepsia, anorexia, flatulence, constipation & all types of abdominal pain due to vata dosha.

ANUPAN  :-

To be taken after meals with luke warm water or as directed by the physician.

METHOD OF PREPARATION

1. Calculate the quantity of the drugs mentioned under the SHIVAKSHAR PACHAN CHURNA as per text and as per master formulary record of the pharmacy for the required batch & quantity.
2. Accurately weigh the tested drugs from the raw material store and clean them properly to exclude physical impurities/foreign materials. Again weigh the drugs and adjust their weight loss according to the master formula.
3. Clean the pulveriser as per SCP (Standard Cleansing Procedure).
4. Coarsely powder the drugs mentioned in the Yog and sieve them from the Sieve No.100.
5. Shuddha hing is roasted in some quantity of ghrit and is allowed to dry. It is then powdered separately and sieved properly.
6. Coarsely powdered drugs and properly sieved hing is mixed thoroughly.
7. Take a sample for testing and after testing the batch, the churna is sealed and labeled in well cleaned plastic bottles as per GMP mentioned in D & C Act 1940 and the rules made there under.
